Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. Introduction
This policy explains what personal data The Foundry Yard collects through foundryyardrecords.com, why, and what rights you have. The data controller is The Foundry Yard, reachable at contact@foundryyardrecords.com.
We collect as little as possible. This website has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
2. Information we collect
- Contact form. When you write to us: your email address, the subject and your message.
- Abuse prevention. To limit how many messages can be sent, a one-way encoded (hashed) form of your IP address is stored on our server for up to one hour.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for every request (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) to operate and secure the server.
- Listening. Pressing play sets one strictly necessary cookie. See the Cookie Policy.
3. How we use your information
We use your message and email address only to read and answer your request (business, distribution, press, licensing, fans, curators or collaborations) and to follow up on it. We use technical data only to keep the website working and secure. We never sell your data and never add you to any mailing list.
4. Legal basis
We process your contact data to take the steps you ask for when you write to us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering messages and keeping the website secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Data sharing
Our website and email are hosted by alwaysdata (France, European Union), which processes data on our behalf as a service provider. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. Data security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), messages are validated on our server and sent straight to our own mailbox, and access to that mailbox is restricted.
7. Data retention
We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and at most 24 months after our last exchange, after which they are deleted. Abuse-prevention data is deleted after one hour. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
8. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to contact@foundryyardrecords.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
9. International transfers
Your data stays in the European Union. Fonts are served from our own server and no third-party services are loaded on this website. If you follow the link to YouTube, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
11. Contact us
For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@foundryyardrecords.com.
